Solid organ transplantation has become the standard of care for individuals with end-stage kidney, liver, or heart disease. There are more than 103,000 people in the United States on the United Network for Organ Sharing wait list. Advances through research have significantly impacted the success rates of transplantation, resulting in increased life years and improved quality of life for transplant recipients. Care of patients pre and post transplant is conducted in collaboration with community providers. Participants who attend the 19th Annual Interdisciplinary Transplant Symposium will be able to apply updated therapies to the care of individuals with end-stage organ disease.
